![]() ![]() What more incentive do you need to make that kind of drive from out of state knowing that you could be at two major shows in two days?…Īnyways, I have some photos from Wekfest East too but I am in the process of trying to gather more content for you guys. I highly doubt that it was planned for both events to share the same weekend but I think it helped out both events in the end. If I lived out there or was visiting, I would have made the drive easily to both shows to get coverage and that’s why I was kind of bummed afterwards that I didn’t know about it. For my west coast followers, the drive from both shows was probably about the same distance as driving from L.A. It’s about a 130 mile drive so it wasn’t too difficult to get from one show to the other. What was interesting about both events being on the same weekend was that many enthusiasts that were a part of the Tuner Evolution show just made the drive from York, PA to Edison, New Jersey for Wekfest East. I know I can always rely on him to get some good photos for me and he came through once again… Eric, as you know, has covered a couple of events for me out there this year and has done a great job. Luckily Eric Badis was out there hanging out and brought his camera with him. There were some builds at that show that I wanted to get a better look at so I hopped on The Chronicles Facebook page to see if anyone was willing to send me some photos after the weekend. The name sounded familiar to me since I remembered seeing Joy Abdalla’s Subaru on their flyer so I started looking around more online to see if I could find any more pics. I was randomly looking at photos online over the weekend and started seeing photos from Tuner Evolution pop-up on my Instagram feed. Turns out that it is actually kind of a big deal and enthusiasts from all over that side of the country make the trip out to Pennsylvania to be a part of it. One of the main reasons why I didn’t know about the timing of both events is because I never even heard of the Tuner Evolution event until the Import Alliance Summer Meet a month or so ago. I honestly didn’t even know that they both happened on the same weekend or I would have made a better attempt at trying to go. Problem solved. If there was one trip this year that I really wish I would have made, it would have been this past weekend out to the east coast to attend the Tuner Evolution and Wekfest East events. Sure enough, the variable timing control and alternator sensors were pinned incorrectly. Finally, someone decided to swap the engine harness from the CRX with the Civic to see if wiring was in fact the issue. The team swapped sensors, Hondata K-Pro engine control units, and other vitals, but the Civic remained unchanged. Fortunately, Miguel's roommate was in the process of putting together a K-powered CRX. The crew performed a basic diagnosis gas, fuel, battery, etc., and unfortunately, the K20A2 did not run well. They tooled away until 3 a.m., napping before heading off to work only to return after punching out for the day. The electrical mystery was solved after Miguel and his friends worked tirelessly for weeks before an upcoming car show and they were determined to have the EM1 up and running for the event. Further agitating the situation was the eight-month waiting period for the problem to be rectified. An incorrectly pinned aftermarket engine wiring harness complicated the final stages of the build. As the process continued, another hurdle got in the way. ![]()
